Mike Commodore – This one has frustrated the fan base, the organization, and, above all, Commodore himself.  Commodore dedicated himself to getting into the best condition of his career, but, unfortunately, what occurred was a series of injuries and illnesses:  a groin injury, followed by the flu, followed by another groin injury, followed by a charley horse, followed by play in which Commodore tired quickly, during games.  This lethargy led to Commodore being examined for the cause of this puzzling condition.  Fortunately, the test results were fine, so it’s now a case of Commodore getting himself into game condition, the ultimate hope being a return to one of the steadiest stay-at-home defensemen.  Like Mason, it can’t happen soon enough, and, also like Mason, his return to form may be just as critical to their potential playoff possibilities. Well, there’s my view of the individual player performances.  Here’s to improved play, and improved fortunes, as any continued inconsistent play and non-adherence to Ken Hitchcock’s defense-first system will not result in being in the playoff mix/hunt, come Mid-January, when it’s time for the march to the playoffs..

Its been a long 365 days for Hoosiers fans.We have had to suffer through the worst season by far in Indiana basketball history, going 6-25 and 1-17 in the Big Ten.We had to live with a scrappy but young group of players, mostly freshman.We had to see Assembly Hall fail to sell out every game for the first time in a long time.But there were also many positives from this past year.Indiana fans never gave up on coach Tom Crean and kept supporting the team, averaging more fans than winning programs like Arizona and UCONN.Crean wrapped up a great recruiting class that hasimmediately paid dividends, in games and during practice.Indiana has a new AD who has put forth new measures to get more students in the seats and to get people excited about the program lady gaga twitter .
