Both can threaten deep and both can stretch the field with YAC (yards after catch).Bills tight ends Shawn Nelson and Derek Fine have been almost invisible this year in the passing game.The problem that continues to plague Miami is receiver.They have not found a number one receiver, and Ted Ginn continues to struggle in the passing game. Davone Bess, Greg Camarillo, and Brian Hartline have been good this year, but they still don’t give great ability to stretch the field. Anthony Fasano has done nothing this year and is now injured and Joey Haynos has shown promise but hasn’t fully been the answer at tight end. Watch out for a guy named Kory Sperry, though.He has shown good potential so far.Advantage: Buffalo. Although banged up, the Dolphins still have their two best lineman in Jake Long and Vernon Carey. The interior part of the line likely won’t see the normal starting combination of Justin Smiley, Jake Grove and Donald Thomas.

The Dolphins, against Carolina, had two lineman play multiple positions, which shows they have great depth.The Bills gave up Jason Peters in the off season.This is a move they wish they had back.Their line is so injury-depleted that they might as well hold open tryouts.Eric Wood is a prime example of how the Bills season is going.If you are curious as to what I mean, watch dl hughleys . Joey Porter and Jason Taylor may be “old guys” but they still bring a big game every Sunday.They have combined to contribute 10 sacks while rather unknown player Cameron Wake has contributed another four and a half sacks.While holding a lot of depth at outside linebacker the Dolphins have had issues at middle linebacker.Channing Crowder’s lack of playmaking ability and Akin Ayodele’s average play leave this group somewhat vulnerable.Though both have made tackles they don’t do a very good job of forcing turnovers.The Bills linebacking corps is another group that has taken a tremendous hit this year.Paul Posluszny is about the only memorable piece left from the pre-season depth chart.Posluszny is a tremendous linebacker but he needs some help from the other two linebackers for this group to make a difference.Advantage: Miami. The Bills have a ball-hawking secondary.Jairus Byrd has 8 interceptions and leads the NFL in that category.Terrence McGee, when healthy, is an elite cornerback.Donte Whitner is a ball hawking safety.This talented group is the best part of this Bills defense and the most important for forcing turnovers.This group has given quarterbacks problems all year and they look to keep the trend in the same direction.The Dolphins have had issues this year in the secondary, but sees promise in two up and coming players.Sean Smith and Vontae Davis are both starters after an injury that sidelined Will Allen for the season.They have both made rookie mistakes that have been costly but they have also shown maturity and a fast learning curve.Safety play could be better, as Gibril Wilson and Yeremiah Bell are both essentially strong safeties with lack of ball skill when the offensive goes to passing plays.Advantage: Buffalo.

Tony Sparano has been a great coach in the two seasons he has been here.He knows how to prepare his team for games week in and week out.Dan Henning and Paul Pasqualoni and Dan Henning may not be household names for coaches but their game-plans have helped the Dolphins execute well, especially with Henne at quarterback.Although a bit questionable late in games with play calling, Henning has adequately used his weapons on offense, apart from inconsistent weapon Ted Ginn.Perry Fewell is the interim head coach after Dick Jaron was fired a few weeks ago.The Bills have seemed to play harder with him controlling the helm but still lost a tough one last week against Jacksonville.Fewell is also the defensive coordinator.He normally had a tenacious defense but with injuries he has had misfortunes with this group this year.Alex Van Pelt, offensive coordinator, has had 2 different starters this year at quarterback, with the same results.The Bills offense has underachieved this year, especially with the addition of receiver Terrel Owens.Advantage: Miami dl hughley comedy . Ted Ginn this year has not done much right for Miami.One thing he has done extremely well is return kicks.He is averaging just over 30 yards a return on kick returns and has taken 2 to the house this year.After being demoted from starting Wide Receiver, Ginn is now a full time returner and has proven to still be dangerous at it.Davone Bess has been returning punts, but does not seem like the answer at punt returning as the Dolphins have one of the worst punt return averages in the NFL.Miami has not given up a touchdown on special teams so far this season.The Buffalo Bills normally have a dangerous return game, but have shown otherwise this season.They do not have a return touchdown on Special Teams this year.Running back Fred Jackson has not only been an answer at running back, he has also averaged around 26 yards on kick returns and almost 12 yards on punt returns.Roscoe Parrish, who is battling injury, is normally a playmaking returner for the Bills Special Teams.Advantage: Miami comedy jam .
